Falooda with Ice Cream

Falooda is a one of the most popular Drinks in Sri Lanka made with Sherbet Syrup, Milk, Jelly etc. This Iconic frozen dessert has origins based on the persian dish "Faloodeh" & served both in restaurants and even on the small coolspots in the Indian subcontinent.

How To Make:

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Milk - 3/4 Cups

  • KVC Sherbet Syrup- 1/4 Cups

  • Vanila ice cream- 2 Scoops

  • Kasa-Kasa( Basil seeds)- 1/2- Teaspoons

  • Set Jelly Cubes - 2 Tablespoons

  • Sugar-2-3 Tablespoons

Steps:

  1. Soak the Kasa-Kasa (basil) seeds in about 1/2 cup of water for 15-30 minutes.

  2. Mix 2-3 Tablespoons of Sugar with Milk and Set aside.

  3. Add KVC Sherbet Syrup, Soaked Kasa-kasa seeds & Jelly Pieces to the Glass.

  4. Pour the Chilled milk over the Jelly carefully without disturbing the mixture.

  5. Finally add one or two scoops of Ice cream on top and serve with a tea spoon.
